Appearance
Kalamata olive trees: feature slender, silver-green leaves and produce large, dark purple olives with a distinctive almond shape.

Preferred Climate
Kalamata olive trees thrive in warm, Mediterranean-style climates. They will grow in subtropical climates but may not bear fruit.
Best Position and Soil Type
Plant in a sunny location with well-drained soil. Drought tolerant once established.
Mature Height and Width
These typically grow 4–6 metres tall and 3–5 metres wide.
Care
These young tubestock plants require regular watering until established, especially in dry conditions. Once mature, olive plants are drought-tolerant and benefit from occasional pruning and fertilizing to encourage fruit production.
