Gardenia Florida is a compact variety with glossy green foliage and highly fragrant, creamy-white flowers that bloom throughout the warmer months. It is a popular choice for hedging, borders, or pots due to its dense growth and continuous flowering. Grows to 1m tall.

Aimee Yoshiba
Gardenia Aimee Yoshiba is a larger-growing variety with bold, dark green leaves and large, beautifully perfumed white blooms. This gardenia is perfect as a statement shrub or a feature plant in garden beds. Grows to approximately 2m tall. 

Preferred Climate
Gardenia plants thrive in warm, humid climates but can tolerate cooler conditions with protection from frost. They grow best in tropical, subtropical, and temperate regions of Australia.

Best Position and Soil Type
Plant in a sunny to partly shaded position with well-drained, slightly acidic soil enriched with organic matter. Gardenia Aimee Yoshiba and Florida both prefer moist, well-mulched soil to encourage healthy flowering.

Mature Height and Width
Gardenia Florida reaches approximately 1 metre in height and width, while Aimee Yoshiba grows taller, up to 2 metres high and 1.5 metres wide.

Care
These young tubestock plants require regular watering until established. Once mature, gardenia plants benefit from mulching, feeding with an acid-loving fertilizer, and occasional pruning to maintain shape and encourage blooming.
