Blueberry Plants – Sunshine Blue, Misty, Powderblue & Premier
Appearance
Our blueberry plants are all low chill varieties that will produce well in subtropical to temperate climates. The following varieties are available:
Sunshine Blue Blueberry - a semi dwarf, early fruiting variety growing to 1m. The best variety for growing in pots and is more tolerant of alkaline soils than other varieties. It is self fertile but will produce larger crops if planted near Misty.
Misty - Self-fertile early fruiting variety. Cross pollinates with Sunshine Blue for a heavier crop. Grows to 2m.
Powder Blue - later fruiting variety that grows to 2m. Self fertile but will produce larger crops is planted with Premier.
Premier - later season commercial variety with excellent flavour and fruit quality. Premier is self fertile but can be cross pollinated with Powderblue for bigger crops.
Preferred Climate
These blueberry plants thrive in temperate to subtropical climates.
Best Position and Soil Type
Plant in full sun to part shade with well-drained, acidic soil rich in organic matter. A blueberry tree or bush will produce the best fruit in slightly moist, well-mulched soil.
Care
These young tubestock plants require regular watering until established. Once mature, a blueberry bush benefits from seasonal pruning, mulching, and fertilizing to encourage healthy growth and fruit production
